The 10.0 and 10.4 changes | Well, the 9.0 models lasted almost two years missing by about two weeks. As of March 08, 2010, all guards shipped will be version 10. This latest update deals mainly with the clamps and pawls. Sadly I can no longer make these without a spring load on the design. It was a recent occurance that a slight design change had made some of the pawls only work sometimes at some heights. To get a better and more consistant product safety wise, I designed this newer version.
It will require a higher price per pawl package. Don't worry though if you have already placed an order. Yours will be upgraded at no charge.
If you have an older model back to 8.0, and upgrade can be sought. It will be different terms for each instance, but less than a year old will get this at no cost. I will have much more info on this as well as pictures soon. Just stay tuned.
