I consider this to be my sanctuary. This is where I relieve everyday stresses of the world. The actual shop is only 16' by 16', but I sometimes think its a good size. It is attached to a 8' by 16' store bought storage shed, to which I built an 8' by !6' lean-to type storage building for yard machines and some lumber storage. My wife's storage is in the store-bought shed along with the usual household storage and some of the wood working stuff that I don't use that often. All of this area combined really makes the 16' by 16' seem a bit bigger, because it isn't too cluttered with a bunch of stuff. I am still in the process of adding on. I am adding another 8' by 24'. I really am hoping that this will be big enough. Further info and pics will be posted later.
