Detail Sanding with a Scroll Saw.

I was looking through a catalog the other day and saw some sanding strips for the scroll saw. They were over $1 each so I started thinking about this roll of sand paper that I had laying around. You could cut up old belts from your belt sander too. Any of it, as long as it has a cloth backing, should work. I hit upon the idea just to cut this into strips and try it out. Well, it worked great. The one pictured in the saw is 3/8" wide. You can make them thinner too. This comes in very handy for detail edge sanding.
You could also clamp a small block behind the sand paper and then it wouldn't flex.
