This WAS the most versatile and accurate Table Saw in it's price range. Now there is the BT3100. As of October 2002, it can be bought from Home Depot for $299.00. This is actually an upgrade or improvement over the already fantastic BT3000. Not to mention a lot cheaper in price. You can't touch the feature's of this saw for less than a grand with any other brand. That's my story and I'll stick to it until proven wrong. This saw gets a lot of bad publicity. Most of the time, its from folks that run commercial shops or people that don't read the directions. It does take a little effort to set up the first time or two. After that, you can do it fast if you ever need to. I have adjusted my rip fence one time in 2 years and it is still parallel with the blade. I rarely ever align the Sliding Miter Table. This, BTW, is one of the best features of this saw. The SMT makes this an extremely accurate and versatile table saw.
