The Ryobi BT 3000 Precision Woodcutting System This WAS the most versatile and accurate Table Saw in it's price range. Now there is the BT3100. As of October 2002, it can be bought from Home Depot for $299.00. This is actually an upgrade or improvement over the already fantastic BT3000. Not to mention a lot cheaper in price. You can't touch the feature's of this saw for less than a grand with any other brand. That's my story and I'll stick to it until proven wrong. This saw gets a lot of bad publicity. Most of the time, its from folks that run commercial shops or people that don't read the directions. It does take a little effort to set up the first time or two. After that, you can do it fast if you ever need to. I have adjusted my rip fence one time in 2 years and it is still parallel with the blade. I rarely ever align the Sliding Miter Table. This, BTW, is one of the best features of this saw. The SMT makes this an extremely accurate and versatile table saw.
The Newer Ryobi BT3100 Table Saw | I now own this saw and it is a better saw than its predecessor. If you would like some more information on the New Ryobi BT3100, you can find a review at Sam Conder's "BT3Central.Com" .
