The Shark Feeder / Push Stick
Here is a link if you want to make one of these yourself.

I am no longer able to make these, but will keep the information up on the site for those that either have them or would like to make their own. This is the Shark Feeder or push stick that I designed to work along with the Shark Guard. It is not designed for use without the Shark Guard. It can be mounted to sit right on the side of the Shark where it is easily reached when its needed.
This accessory is powder coated with your choice of the colors shown below. It has wooden handles that are held in place by brass screws and inserts. The wooden handles are replaceable and are generally just what I have on hand. Currently, the wood species is Leopardwood/ Spalted tiger maple/ Bolivian Rosewood/ Shedua Oak. The type of wood is subject to change without notice. The handles have 2 coats of Johnson's Paste Wax on them. This can be removed with some thinner and the handles can be finished with your favorite finishing technique.
The Shark feeder is milled from 1/8 in. thick 5052 aluminum and could be cut by the blade without doing any damage to the blade itself. Consider push sticks as an extension of your hand. You wouldn't want to put your hand into the spinning blade. The same applies for push sticks. The outcome of such contact can only be bad.
When used correctly, this can be very effective in making your woodworking a much safer and pleasant experience. The length and the angle of this design make it very easy to push stock at a point between the Shark Guard and a tall rip fence attachment. My rip fence attachment is 5 1/2 in. tall and the shark feeder works great even for rips as narrow as 3/4 in..
The Shark Feeder comes with a clear polycarbonate Shark Tooth that can be mounted to the dust port of the shark guard using the supplied brass screw and insert. If you ordered a Shark Feeder with your Shark Guard package, the screw and insert are mounted to the dust port already. If you ordered it separately, you can see the location below. The tooth part won't fit in the box with a Shark Guard if mounted. It is packed unmounted and separately. Make sure you have it before retiring the packaging to the recycle center.
